On Tuesday morning, June 13, New York State Police arrested 30-year-old Valhalla resident Richard Zimmer on charges stemming from an alleged incident that happened on Thursday evening, May 11.
According to police, on the day of the incident, troopers had received a menacing complaint involving two vehicles traveling north on the Sprain Brook Parkway in Greenburgh.
The complaint detailed that the victim had overtaken Zimmer's vehicle and had begun driving in front of him. Zimmer then allegedly pulled his vehicle alongside the victim's car and brandished a firearm, according to police.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
After surrendering himself to police on Tuesday, Zimmer was charged with second-degree menacing and arraigned in the Town of Greenburgh Court. He will reappear in court on Tuesday, Aug. 1.
